Messy Fish-Tail How-To

Hi friends!!
So today I wanted to share a fun How-to post! This summer we have been seeing a lot of this awesome style. I love braids!! This messy style fish tail is a twist on the original fishtail so with that being said its a great place to learn as pretty much anything goes! It's messy, so have fun with it!
This is my very first how-to post so I apologize for the bad lighting and if the images are unclear, I'm going to play around with lighting and hopefully have it a bit better for next time!

Here we go!

I've written a small description under each pic, but here are the steps in a bit more detail
1. Divide hair into two sections. I've chosen to do my braid to the side so if this is the case, gather hair to one side and then divide into two sections

2. From the outside section you want to grab a small piece and pull it over the centre and join it to the inside section of hair.

3. You want to have only 2 large sections throughout this braid, so remember you are always joining the small strand to the opposite side section. Pull tight after each strand.

4. Switch to the other side and grab a small piece and cross over to the opposite side. Continue alternating sides remembering to pull it tight as you go.

5. Finish up your braid and secure with a clear elastic.

6. To make your braid messy start at the bottom on one side and pull strands lightly so that they loosen, but not too much that they fall out. Make your way up the one side, and then start at the bottom on the other side of the braid, continue to pull strands randomly until you are satisfied with the look.

7. Twist bangs off to the side and secure with a bobby pin or style them as you usually would, and enjoy your fishtail braid!!

I would love to hear feedback of what you thought of this how-to, ways I can improve and also what you'd like to see next time! Thanks!
Enjoy!
Xoxo
Emily
